Beckman Laser Institute - UCI, Project Scientist, 2016 – Present As Project Scientist, I serve under Dr. Matthew Brenner where I develop complex models for assessing diabetic skin with multi-photon microscopy including animal model selection, surgical procedures definition, IACUC applications, and defense using GLP. I employ multimodality optical characterization in self-directed research of impaired wound healing in a preclinical model (ovine) of diabetes mellitus. Here, I apply Spatial Frequency Domain Imaging (SFDI) and Laser Spackle Imaging (LSI) combined with microbiological assays. I process cell cultures using HaCaT cell lines to mimic processes and skin reactions as well as assess the cross talk between NRF2 and NFK2, RAGE regulations, and accumulation of AGEs in the skin.► Collaborated with cross-functional researchers and leveraged $3M U.S. Department of Defense grant to develop long-range plans aimed at creating antidotes for mass casualty victims of Cyanide and Hydrogen Sulfide poisoning.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Researcher, 2006 – 2009 In this role, I conducted pharmaceutical neurology research with an emphasis on the cannabinoid system and how it affects orexogenic complications. ► Played a key role in producing an article about lab achievements and providing advanced knowledge in neuroscience and neurology.
