I have an affinity and high aptitude for technology and software. Along my career path, even if my specific job description was not technology related, I have improved something in that area. I enjoy working with technology and software that helps individuals and businesses increase their efficiency and improve their work environments.At the beginning of 2018, I took a leap of faith when I accepted a position at Buildium as a Customer Care Agent. It was a career direction change, and although I had already achieved senior level status on my technology track, I was excited for the challenge. The skill sets developed in my previous work environments allowed me to advance rapidly in my new position.A year later, I was promoted to a Level 2 Agent; this position required handling the most complicated cases as well as working with the product and engineering departments to find solutions. Subsequently, I began thinking more about the product management side of the business and took the initiative to move in that direction.The process of defining the problem, designing a solution, developing the product, and then seeing the results in the real world is immensely satisfying. To paraphrase Marty Cagan from his book Inspired, 2nd edition: I love working on products customers love, products that provide real value. I am grateful for the opportunities that allowed for my career path to lead me to a position in product management. I look forward to honing my skills and contributing further in product management as well as interdepartmental advancement.
