San Francisco, California, Us

Uber’s NeMo robotics team set out to bring life to the fast pace growth of micro-mobility transportation. As multiple cities began to enforce more stringent regulation focusing around scooters and bicycles, my team was developing the latest cutting-edge sensing micro-mobility robotics solution. Starting with equipping our scooters with a full 360-degree field-of-view camera and an array of sensors for automatic sidewalk riding detection, parking detection, and CV localization. I was responsible for integrating our solution on-device as well as full-stack operations. My primary development included the bring-up of an Android system and application for high-level rapid prototyping within a custom mobile SoC. In addition, guiding and reviewing development for our ARM microcontroller which connected to existing micro-mobility hardware.
