Through prioritizing JIRA backlogs, I manage cross-functional relationships including internal customer service managers, analytics, implementation specialists and external industry contacts in order to help top companies take better care of their talent.

As the hospital’s Revenue Cycle Manager for Hospital Billing and Claims, I manage a team of 18 direct reports that span across teams specializing in commercial, government, and specialty payers (out-of-state, global transplant, research studies, 340B). In my role, I focus on data and analytics to measure and improve revenue health, specifically decreasing claim hold days and improving cash flow. I created a scalable SQL-based cash goal model to improve accuracy by using historical claims sent volume and worked to improve accuracy of our Epic contract modeling for expected reimbursement. Additionally, I automated a monthly report for high dollar claims (>$1M) for the Controller and Finance teams that resulted in time savings of more than 2 days.Another main responsibility of my role is to work cross functionally across teams such as Registration, Authorization, CDM, HIMS, and Information Security. I lead multi-team meetings to remove workflow roadblocks that resulted in reaching our organizational goal in FY16. Additionally, I analyze claims data to provide recommendations on updates to contract language to increase yield and collection success rates, including LOA language, disallowed/bundled charges, and contract language ambiguity.ROSE Award Recipient: Dec 2017

With over 400 consultants, Triage has identified and recovered nearly $3 billion for more than 600 hospital clients. During my time as a manager, I oversaw comprehensive payment review projects and modeled optimal resource allocations to ensure client projects were profitable. My primary role included supporting successful project plans risk assessments, developing audit strategies, and further strengthening client relationships.As a Senior Associate, I analyzed large sets of data to identify inaccuracies within the claims payment process. With this information, I provided recommendations that have prevented future negative impacts to cash flow for hospital clients (Dir. Patient Financial Services, VP’s of Contracting). I develop customized databases, SQL-based queries, Access macros, and user-friendly forms with standardized business rules that have at times improved efficiency by 200%. I also was responsible for training and mentoring new team members in addition to managing operations that include data resource budgeting and forecasting team headcount for teams ranging from 2-10 members.
