Appointed by the President of the United States, July 2024. The United States Coast Guard Academy Board of Visitors provides the Commandant of the Coast Guard with independent advice and recommendations on the operation of the Academy, including but not limited to, morale and discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, academic methods, and fiscal affairs. Members are nominated by the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the White House.

The Hollywood, Florida Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is a statutorily created, special taxing district charged with remedying slum and blighted neighborhood conditions through tax increment financing. As Chairman, Mr. Bober presided over meetings, oversaw approximately 15 employees, a budget of over $30 million dollars, and numerous beach and downtown redevelopment projects, including the spectacular Margaritaville Beach Resort.

First Hispanic elected official in City history. Oversaw a municipal corporation with numerous departments, over 1,500 employees and annual budgets of nearly a half-billion dollars. As the presiding chair, Mayor Bober ran all governmental meetings, and was responsible for developing policy, creating balanced budgets, preparing the City for climate change impacts, and ensuring the health, safety and welfare of nearly 150,000 residents. In his tenure, Mayor Bober successfully implemented a citywide single-stream recycling program, created new parks and recreational amenities, invested hundreds of millions of dollars in utility infrastructure, built-up strategic budget reserves, enhanced educational opportunities, opposed wasteful spending, modernized older City housing stock, and promoted transparency, ethics and efficiency in city operations. As Hollywood's only city-wide elected municipal leader, he championed protecting the environment and green building initiatives.

First Hispanic (Cuban), and youngest elected official in Hollywood, Florida's history. Supported smart development initiatives, modernized city operations/technology and pushed for sweeping ethics reforms, term limits and campaign finance reform. Created policy, budgets, capital improvement plans, new parks and recreational opportunities and was responsible for ensuring a high quality of life for City residents.
