As an aspiring elementary education teacher and full-time student at the University of Indianapolis, I am passionate about creating inclusive and supportive learning environments where every child can thrive. As a first-generation Latina and Ivy Tech alumna, I am committed to advocating for diversity in education and fostering a classroom culture that celebrates each student’s unique strengths and background.During my time at Ivy Tech Community College, I had the honor of serving as President of the Latino Student Union (LSU) and President of Educators of Tomorrow, which strengthened my leadership skills and deepened my commitment to community and educational excellence. I was also recognized as the Outstanding Student for the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education upon graduation.Currently, I serve as the Director of Programming for the Student Organization of Latinos (SOL) at UIndy, where I focus on building community and promoting cultural awareness through dynamic events and initiatives. My leadership experience, combined with my empathetic and hardworking nature, drives me to make a positive impact both in and outside the classroom.I am eager to leverage my skills, passion, and experiences to inspire the next generation of learners and contribute to educational equity.
