A rapidly growing team entering a hot space, with a lot of work to be done in commercial and product.--I currently manage Booking.com's commercial business development across the UK & Ireland covering attractions, tours, activities and more. This means overseeing the strategy for growth across markets in terms of which destinations to launch, what experiences (attractions, tours and activities) to sign and how to grow quickly and efficiently working with a small team of account managers. I am supported by and enjoy leading a team of account managers allowing us to acquire, manage and scale quickly. This involves agreeing on targets and responsibilities.I cover the full sales cycle for acquisition of key partners and their account management following launch, own, and develop pipelines based on market research and networking. My focus is on scaling and prioritising our growth against business goals. This requires a significant amount of data analysis and road-mapping within the realities of the product which we work with as well as execution of that plan. A part of the role I particularly enjoy is collecting requirements for the product development team to understand what we need to win in this space such as market specific solutions or partner specific solutions. Which channel managers do we integrate with in what order, and why? Should we focus on connectivity over manual processes, or balance the two? Which will help us to become a leader in the field for customers and businesses? These are questions for the whole team and one everyone plays a part in informing.In terms of specific partnerships signed and managed, these include global accounts such as Merlin Entertainments who own the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and more, Hard Rock Cafe, Big Bus and others.

The Agents Marketplace solution was a B2B facing marketplace aimed at allowing third parties to access the inventory and content of our partners. This took the shape of a marketplace given the huge quantity of product we had on offer (1000's) and had many unique challenges because of this. The B2B requirements were unique and required substantial work with stakeholders, and the presentation of such a huge amount of product as well required algorithms, filters and unique search options.--Partnership solutions managed include Marketplace, Whitelabel, Affiliate and API. Managed commercial development and performance to scale the platform out, as well as product design itself in new features, experiments run to increase conversion and algorithm design to promote top sellers but as well float potential. Worked very closely with the supplier teams and marketing teams to balance supplier interest (those that provided the product we were offering in the marketplace) and commercial business interest.Straddling roles, as well acquired and managed a portfolio of key accounts.
