Mayumi Harada is a Japanese Best Seller Author, Intuitive Counselor, Singer-Songwriter, Vocal Coach for J-Pop and K-Pop Stars and Stage mom/Coach for her sons. Originally from Osaka, Mayumi has lived in New York since 1986. As an author, her debut book “Jibunno-Mawarini-lilkotoga-Ippai-Okoru-Hon/Life Can be Full of Good Things (Seishun Publishing, 2003) has sold over 750,000 copies and it became Japan’s top 17th best seller in 2004. Also it was endorsed by Ms.Yoko Ono. Since then, she has published 16 inspirational hard covers, 3 papebags. One of her work have been translated in Korean. Her most recent title is “BTS: Icons of K-POP”, it is her first translation work. As a Singer-Songwriter/Recording Artist, she has released 4 albums through Avex and 1 CD/Meditation Book from Sony Magazine. She has also contributed original songs to other artists such as Hitoe Arakaki’s “ I’ll Do It My Way” and “I Got You” and worked as a vocal producer on Namie Amuro’s single “Shine More”. A famous Japanese manga artist Moyoko Anno has illustrated her in “Bijingahou” which was published in both the United States and Japan. Her husband Kenny Brescia is a professional guitarist in NYC. Their two sons Michael and Julian are actor/singer/musician and plays multiple instruments. Julian was cast in the role of Lawerence in the USA’s first national tour of School of Rock the Musical when he was 9 years old and Mayumi has traveled with him across the US and Canada.
