High Tech High Foundation is the fiduciary and fundraising entity to 4 tuition-free, model public charter schools launched by San Diego business leaders, funded by the Bill Gates Foundation, and replicated throughout the US.Built entire infrastructure for a new development office supporting operations and a $24 million capital campaign; increased the Board by 7; formed a Capital Campaign Cabinet with 6 major donor prospects (i.e. gift capacity exceeding $1 million each); lead marketing collateral design; and, installed first donor database. Designed, lead, and supported first year initiatives such as Telecom Council Gala & Art Auction, golf tournament, and 3 board and parent annual appeals raising over $500k.

Inspire Learning designed and developed financial literacy curriculum for kids in schools grades 5 to 12. Ran successful pilot programs in charter schools, after school programs and camps, most notably at High Tech High school in San Diego, CA. As part of my ongoing work to empower people and organizations with their finances, I continue to speak to tens of thousands of people young and mature at countless organizations across the globe.

WorldxChange Communications (WxC), a global telecommunications company acquired in 2000 by AT&T, operated in 13 countries with over $640 million in annual revenues. WxC provided voice and data services to retail and wholesale customers.I managed financial controllers for 8 European subsidiaries representing over 30% of worldwide revenue, directing cash management, reporting & analysis, budgeting, credit & collection, and system controls.I coordinated post-merger integration of UK and German finance teams, systems and procedures; achieved full accounting system migration within 2 months of acquisition.As Corporate Financial Reporting Manager, I lead a 5 person department responsible for ensuring and enforcing timely monthly closes internationally, analytical review of all financial statements, and consolidation of financial statements for presentation to senior management. And, improved month-end close by 3 days by reengineering communication channels, intercompany billing and reconciliation, financial reporting and consolidation, and foreign exchange gain/loss recognition practices.
