Kuok Khoon Hong Intern-Field works to warehouses and rice mills in Ayeyarwady Region, wet markets in Yangon, rice commodity exchanges, organisations, associations, government agencies and Yezin Agricultural University. These fieldworks allowed me to experience first-hand the Burmese Rice Industry and gather primary data. -Created tables and charts to facilitate easier understanding for shareholders and superiors on the cost structure of rice retailers and wholesalers in Yangon using data gathered during field works. -Researched on Burmese consumer preference for cooked white rice by conducting cooking test and data gathered from field works. -Researched on shipping cost for Burmese rice export to Mediterranean, West Africa, Oceania and Black Sea. Held meeting with PIL and MSC to improve relationship, and to further understand the situation of Burmese rice export. -Monitored daily prices of different rice varieties in Myanmar. Created tables and charts to facilitate easier understanding for shareholders and superiors.
