My experience here has helped me see the various possibilities of online mode of education and community building and the ways in which it can be leveraged for achieving quality education.As a Program Design Manager, my key roles and responsibilities were- Developing and managing online academic resource to be used by teachers and students.- Recruiting, inducting and managing interns for designing online academic resources and - Designing and Developing Career Lab program, that aims to help students introspect, research, analyse and decide the right higher education and career path for themself.- Mentoring 11th grade students to Research and write their own Research papers.- Designing and Developing the Online Holistic Evaluation, which evaluated students on their academics and skills like collaboration, critical thinking, ownership, resilience and empathy. It helped me gain the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to develop myself as a leader towards building a wider movement for social equity.Key Responsibilities and Projects:• Class Teacher of grades 5 and 6 in an under-resourced government school in Mumbai.• Planned and executed outcome-driven and integrated lessons for 64 students; students displayed 15% growth in solving application, mechanical and understanding type questions of Mathematics. • Developed End of Year City Summative Assessment for more than 600 students.• Engaged 15 parents through my 'Be the change project' called ‘Samarthya’ which catered to parents' literacy and life skill. • Collaborated with Saturday Art Class, Oscar Foundation, Deutsche Bank, Paint Box, Global Dream Program, NISM and American School of Bombay for co-curricular, school development, financial literacy, and parent literacy workshop. • Inducted, trained and mentored 20 Volunteers who mentored students for dance, cricket, debate, science club, and academics.• Mentored 6 students to write 2 research papers for City as Lab. 3 students got selected to present it in a city-wide conference. • Planned and Executed Children’s Theatre Festival called ‘Dramebaaz’ with other Teach for Imdia fellows for 200 students.
