Maz has been at Melick & Porter his entire legal career. He began as a Law Clerk in the summer of 1988 and joined the firm after graduation from Marquette Law School as an Associate in the fall of 1989. He also graduated from Marquette High and Marquette University. Michael has extensive trial experience in professional liability, transportation and other civil litigation matters, representing clients in both federal and state courts for 30 years. Michael has also been mediating employment cases nationally for 22 years for a single client. His practice involves employment law, professional liability, sexual abuse and transportation liability. Much of that entails early and quick evaluation, assessment and resolution of claims or lawsuits by private mediation. He defends companies on housing discrimination, sexual harassment, and in all types of discrimination and retaliation claims. He defends employers, summer camps, churches, youth organizations and boarding schools in claims alleging sexual molestation or abuse. Maz is a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only national trial lawyer honorary society. Maz has been consistently recognized by Massachusetts, New England and National Super Lawyers which are annual listings of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
