In this position, I am focused on building a growth path, driving measurable value, and establishing core financial processes and reporting requirements. I am proud of my ability to hold the management team accountable with numbers and facts - pushing for strategic decisions that increase the bottom line. My main focus as we initiate our first large contract is to secure a funding strategy and build a financial roadmap. Our first project, One Ontario, is an R&D initiative that engages municipal and provincial governments, AEC stakeholders, software developers and academics to develop innovative information exchange standards for the construction industry. Initially, it wasn’t easy, but by creating genuine relationships and promoting a collaborative corporate culture, I was able to create an environment where my teams could thrive.To reduce risk and increase ROI, I implemented an investment diversification strategy that saw the company acquire real estate across three different countries.I am particularly proud of the restructuring plan I developed that lowered overhead by more than 50%.
