The purpose of the internship was to conduct scientific research to evaluate the automatic lexical simplification tool called LEXenstine, using different training datasets. To achieve this goal I wrote a script using Python and Java to properly execute useful tools like Word2Vec, Srilm and jMWE and to automate the evaluation process.At the end of the research we published the paper “The Impact of Phrases on Italian Lexical Simplification” that was also chosen for presentation during the conference of the workshop.
