BISTECH platform is the adaptation of Nasdaq’s Genium INET platform for Borsa İstanbul and Takasbank (Turkish Clearinghouse). Adaptations are made collaboratively by Nasdaq, Borsa Istanbul and Takasbank teams. Worked with business teams, developers, teams, operations and external stakeholders. Planned contents of the releases, functional and non-functional tests, data migrations, delivery timings, cut-over rehearsals and post-go-live activities. Coordinated the collaboration and communication between stakeholders. Last deployment of a medium sized release took around four months, efforts from a team of 70 trading, clearing and operations specialists. Borsa Istanbul’s Cash Equity and Derivative Markets (Pay and VIOP) systems are being migrated to BISTECH platform. Worked closely with Borsa, Takasbank and Nasdaq teams for the detailed design of BISTECH adaptations both business and technical aspects. Planned, coordinated and managed change requests for beta deliveries and user acceptance tests. Specified data migration activities for reference data and prices. Prepared test environments for external stakeholders, published the FIX certification scenarios and simulators for ISVs. Organized informational meetings for Exchange members, Brokerage Houses, ISVs and Data Vendors.

Led a team of developers, analysts and testers (~22 people in total) to develop the enhancement and maintenance inquiries for BISTECH Trading and Data Dissemination platforms. Adapted Agile and Devops practices into Software Development efforts. Automated the testing of Trading System releases. Created user-friendly test tools for business teams. Performed the prioritization of above requests, planning of resources and infrastructure, ensuring system’s compliance to information security policies, budgeting and pre-sales actvities to other Stock Exchanges. Collaborated on the Enterprise Architecture Committee to manage the change requests and discuss their impacts to the system overall.
