As a trader at Truist Securities, I leverage my MS in Financial Mathematics, engineering background, and 10+ years of experience in the financial industry to execute optimal trading strategies and manage risk exposure in our equity derivatives and structured investments products (such as index options, index futures, interest rates swaps, and market-linked CD/notes, all across multiple asset classes and markets). I have over six years of experience in this role.I hold a master's degree in financial mathematics from North Carolina State University and I am proficient in VBA, R, SQL, SAS, Matlab, and JavaScript, which I use daily to enhance my trading performance and efficiency.As a person, I am very patient and easy to work with (or at least, I like to think so); I know how little I know and the more I grow and learn, the more I am appalled at the vast universe of things I don't know. I have met and worked with extremely intelligent people and I will be honest here - I am not one of them; things don't naturally come to me, I have to repeatedly learn (as I like to say, I know things the hard way). This guides my teamwork principles: you can rely on me because when I say I will do something, I do it. At the same time, I rely on my team to yield strong results. I make sure to be nice to everyone; we all have something going on and I won't be the one to add one more to your load. I may show a relaxed or laid-back demeanor, but trust me, I pay very special attention to details and I don't give up. That's how an electromechanical engineer, born and raised in Africa, ended up with a degree in Financial Mathematics and is now a Derivatives Trader with one of the top investment banks in the United States.I am fluent in four languages (including French) and my free time is spent with my family and watching a LOT of sports. Yeah, I am addicted to sports and have plenty of controversial sports opinions that I randomly bring up to start unending arguments! Oh, and I also coach kids soccer and love going on long, solitary mountain hikes with my dogs.
