Mariam Baramidze is a Program Manager at the National Democratic Insitute’s (NDI) field office in Georgia, working on civil society and elections programs. Mariam joined NDI’s Georgia Office in 2014 as a program assistant for the parliamentary and elections components of Strengthening Political Processes in Georgia program. She has more than twelve years of experience working in the field of democratization, education and project management, including with international organizations, as well as governmental and non-profit sector in and outside of Georgia. Her international experience includes working at the Organization of Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna and Skopje, and Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg, a program of MitOst e.V. and Robert Bosch Foundation in Berlin. She has worked on issues related to strengthening democracy and youth civic participation, promoting peace education at schools and universities, offering and tailoring integrated education concepts in the multicultural countries and other aspects of democracy promotion, youth engagement and educational reforms. In addition, Mariam has worked for Teach and Learn with Georgia - one of the biggest educational programs run by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
