Created production metrics system using MS Access to track OEE. Created WIP inventory system in Access that virtually eliminated age-outs and over/under WIP production.

Responsible for all capital spend activities including negotiations, contract renewals, equipment and property purchases, and strategic sourcing. Leveraged previous experience with SAP to help transition this manufacturing site to new SAP MRP instance. Negotiated land purchase with local IDA to support planned plant expansion. Negotiated new fleet lease for over 100 pieces of material handling equipment.

Tyson Foods Buffalo

Procurement and scheduling of all direct and indirect materials to support plant operations. Manage over 500 direct materials (packaging and ingredients) and over 1500 indirect materials (maintenance materials and employee supplies) using a combination of enterprise level tools (in SAP) and self-developed tools (in MS Access and Excel).• Met and exceeded corporate established 20% goal for inventory value reduction in direct materials (packaging, ingredients) while reducing downtime on production lines due to supply outages.• Reduced maintenance inventory value by over 20% by re-organizing area and evaluating historical movement of parts and supplies to eliminate dead and over-stocks.• Created Access database to monitor movement of all raw material inventories on a daily basis. Virtually eliminated loss of raw materials to age, saving $100,000 annually.• Participated in Tyson Material Managers Council, 12 peers recognized for expertise in inventory control, corporate policy compliance, and local leadership. Established best practices for the organization.• Developed scheduling and tracking system for inbound meat deliveries that virtually eliminated trucking detention fees. Responsible for all RTE packaging (2 shifts, over 200 team members), including scheduling of all orders, managing T&A for all team members, identifying equipment needs and maintenance opportunities. Though I only did this job for 2 years we were able to set production records that still stand to this day.
