About Marc Baumbach

I am currently the Head of Engineering at Seguno, where we are building an embedded marketing automation platform inside of the Shopify commerce platform.I have helped contribute to both the open source and commercial communities. In open source, I was one of the three original developers who created RadRails, a cross platform Ruby on Rails IDE built on top of the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP). In the commercial community, I was an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM for 5 years working on the Rational Requirements Composer product as well as the Jazz platform.I worked at Bronto Software in the engineering department as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Development Manager. In these roles, I developed apps that extended the Bronto platform, as well as created integrations with commerce platforms such as NetSuite and Demandware. As a manager, I lead the front-end engineering team in an effort to revamp a decade old code base.Specialties: Java, JavaScript, React, Ruby on Rails, HTML5/CSS3.
