Deciding on my future career field has led me down an interesting path. I recently graduated summa cum laude from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. During my junior year in college, I decided the medical field was not for me and business seemed to be a better fit. My business experience creating my own eBay store as well as working as an Online Sales Representative was much more exciting and enticing!These experiences helped me decide to further my education, and recently I was accepted as an MBA candidate for the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. I am very excited for this next opportunity to learn all I can from this program. I also look forward to meeting with alumni and business owners to understand their career paths and learn from them.However, my experiences at Southern Utah University studying science was not all for nothing. I learned a lot of valuable lessons and met incredible professors and students. As a result of making connections there, I had a great opportunity to volunteer as a Coordinator with Camp Kesem. This is a nonprofit organization which provides children an opportunity to escape some of the troubles associated when a parent has cancer. I truly enjoyed being a part of this organization and I know that volunteering in some way will always be an important part of my life.
