- Designed and implemented an algorithm to automatically 3D reconstruct patient-specific coronary arterytrees from two angiographic images in less than 1 minute. 2D back-projection error below 1mm.
- Accurate vessel surface reconstrucion for automatic stenosis detection and FFR analysis to guide thesurgical approach. Error assessment against micro-CT ground truth showed a 3D RMS error below 1mm.
- Implemented algorithms for 2D segmentation (OpenCV). Low latency DICOM data loading, extraction andhandling (DCMTK). Automatic modeling of angiography data into tree data structures (Boost).
- Automatic estimation of intrinsic and extrinsic parameters from the uncalibrated CT imaging device,including linear and non linear motion across views. 3D and 2D point cloud registration (landmark ICP).
- Implementation of a point matching algorithm using an optimization approach constrained via epipolargeometry, back-projection error, graph topology and association graphs.
- Vessels’ surface reconstruction. Surface smoothing, 3D rendering and visualization (VTK and PCL).
