About Michael Behringer

Focusing on what I always enjoyed most: Developping top-quality, custom training and consulting. My background is autonomic networking, network complexity and critical infrastructure protection (Core network security, operational and physical security, Denial-of-Service attack prevention). I worked at Cisco from 1998 to March 2017, from 2003 as Distinguished Engineer, focusing on Critical Infrastructure Protection and Autonomic Networking. Before I worked at the European Internet Service Provider DANTE, based in Cambridge, UK. Here I attained the position of senior network engineer and was responsible for the design and implementation of DANTE's pan-European networks. I hold a diploma (MSc) in computer science from the Technical University of Munich. I am an active member of the IETF, and have published several papers, RFCs, patents, and a book on MPLS VPN security.Specialties: Autonomic Networking, Complexity, critical infrastructure protection, network security, IPTV security, multicast security
