𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:• Preparing budgets, Review of AFS, Project Management Tools, Performance Management systems.• Integrating with special audit services (i.e Integration of Finance with engineering services and Information systems services)• Overall client risk assessment• Overall strategic planning of the audit• Evaluating effectiveness of Internal Audit and Audit Committee• Obtaining overall understanding of the entity at both Financial Statement Level and Component Level• Assessing the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of internal controls and deciding whether to put reliance on them.• Providing strategic leadership, coaching and direction to juniors during the audit.• Executing the approved audit procedures in terms of the ISA’s.• Testing compliance with PFMA, MFMA, VAT ACT, Treasury Regulations, Division of Revenue Act, Public Service act and other government circulars and entity specific policies and procedures.• Testing compliance with specific treasury reporting templates and entity specific approved reporting templates.• Analysis and documentation of the entity’s financial position (for example, using financial analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis and /or cash flow analysis)• Reviewing cash flow forecast for an entity/department• Auditing business process to ensure that key controls and weakness on the system has been identified.• Reviewing monthly, quarterly, biannual, annual consolidated reports and “Ad hoc” reports in the prescribed format on the state of the budgets and entities financial performance• Reviewing the budget of entities in relation to MTEF and Treasury Regulations.• Ensuring that audits are conducted in accordance with the approved audit methodology• Preparing audit strategy and presenting it to the management of the department• Preparing management report to be presented to the department on all findings during the audit.• Preparing draft audit report.

𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:• Monitoring and evaluation of article clerks training program and evaluate the trainees that are ready to be signed off on their articles.• Monitoring and facilitating knowledge acquisition and reporting on the effectiveness of programmes and interventions in accomplishing the long-term skills developmental goals/ objectives of the SAIGA.
