I am the Office Manager of our Foxboro, Massachusetts branch office and Division Manager responsible for our geotechnical consulting and design services. My responsibilities include business development, quality control/assurance and personnel management for engineering design and consulting projects. My personal area of special interest is dam engineering, although I am well versed in traditional geotechnical applications for standard and non-standard development, construction and ground improvement projects.As a dam engineer I have completed and been responsible for the completion of:* over 750 dam inspections* the design of repairs to more than 50 earthen masonry and concrete dams* the design of new embankment dams* risk assessment* Emergency Action Plan(EAP) development and training* emergency response during storm generated overtopping events, * and general consulting to assist dam owners in meeting regulatory requirements.My goal as a dam engineer is to assist dam owners in understanding their responsibility to the public, addressing the maintenance and operational needs at their structures, and in the identification of practical, effective solutions to address dam safety regulations, dam deficiencies and public safety concerns.As a Senior Vice President, I have been supporting the ongoing efforts of our Committee on Climate Change, and our staff of engineers and scientists, as we work with our clients to develop resilient and adaptable solutions for their critical infrastructure and development projects.
