Martin Benjamin, MD, FACS is a Manhattan dual-board trained and Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Scottsdale, AZ. He focuses on helping his patients achieve their surgical and desired body goals while fully dedicating himself to their safety. He has over 10 years of experience in general and plastic surgery and offers a wide range of procedures.He attended the University of Arizona in Tucson where he earned his bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and completed his medical degree. Dr. Benjamin has a strong interest in translational research, cancer epigenetics, and novel cancer drugs. He conducted research studies at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center as a designated Medical Student Research Fellow and contributed to the opening of new Phase I and II clinical trials for novel cancer drug development in Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) as well as early-stage Colon and Breast Cancers.After medical school, Dr. Benjamin completed his five years of General Surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago; where he trained at renowned institutions, such as Cook County Hospital, the Jesse Brown VA in Chicago, and the Level I Advocate Christ Medical Center. During the years of training, his passion for plastic surgery further developed and he was recruited to New York to pursue a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency. Dr. Benjamin completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical training at the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, PC, in affiliation with SUNY-Stony Brook University.Martin Benjamin, MD is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has presented at numerous locoregional, national meetings and published papers in, for example, the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the Annals of Plastic Surgery.
