GTS was comprised by a matching engine, an admin system, an order entry gateway, a market data system, a trading screen and all surrounding systems needed in an exchange's trading environment.In this project BM&F mastered the technology, adopted FIX (Financial Information Exchange) as its main protocol and lowered the RTT (Round Trip Time - order entry response time) from 180 milliseconds to 16 milliseconds on average, all these achievements lowered costs for brokers and increased the number of orders and trades and consequently the revenue.
