In 2018 I founded Flikkema Business Solutions (FBS) (complimented by Flikkema Innovation Management & Consultancy BV in 2021) where I support companies, institutes and universities in setting up project proposals and managing innovation processes. Project proposals are crucial for obtaining funding for innovative research and development projects. Translating the innovative idea's of specialists into a text that make reviewers and parters enthusiastic is my speciality. Past Work ExperienceAt MARIN I started as project manager at the Trials & Monitoring department where I was responsible for full scale measurement campaigns focussing on fuel saving, ship performance, manoeuvrability and cavitation research. My tasks varied from conducting on board measurements to analysis of these measurements and project management of Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) focussing on fuel saving in service. After 7.5 years at the Trials & Monitoring department I changed to the Research & Development department where I currently am project manager for EU projects and JIPs. My responsibilities in this job are overall management and coordination of EU funded projects and assisting in project management of JIPs. As of May 2019 I was leader of team Projects & Staff where I lead the team of people responsible for the management and administration of EU funded research projects and administrative support of the MARIN Research & Development department. In December 2019 I resigned from MARIN to put my full focus on my own company, FBS.
