Currently I am looking for work and have had some great opportunities to talk to different companies. I recently was at Okta as a Senior Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer and Customer Success Manager - Public Sector (Federal)This is who I am - Dad, husband, computer geek, gamer and Tough Mudder. Not your typical Computer Geek. I can be found building a house or barn, rebuilding a car engine, restoring a Model A or playing Virtual Reality games when not spending time with my son. These past few years I have become a Certified Okta Administrator and Customer Success Manager (Stepping out of my Support comfort zone to try something new) and worked with some of the most amazing people at Okta. I am now looking forward to what the future holds. As a Navy Veteran I learned the ability to read and understand complex wiring schematics and transfer that knowledge into actionable items. This was tested during a sev 1 outage of our port side Antennae array while in the Persian Gulf. Using schematics of the array from Microfiche I led the team in rebuilding the array with minimal downtime and did the repairs while staying deployed at sea. This resulted in receiving the Navy Commendation Medal being a Subject Matter Expert and leadership during wartime repairs.I bring this sort of leadership and ability to every job I have had since Separating from the Navy. I enjoy learning new technology whether it is Hardware or Software. When working with Voyant Technologies I was able to learn Audio Conferencing in a short amount of time and became a senior support engineer within my first year and Strategic Accounts Representative (StAR) for customers such as MCI, AT&T and SBC Communications. At Sun Microsystems I was one of 3 initial X64 engineered Systems and Server support Engineers in Colorado and helped grow the team from 3 to 13 Support Engineers. I was tasked with training junior Engineers in Chile and also taught Service Request Management skills to the Support Team in Burlington and Chile. My philosophy for work is to learn as much as I can about the role and where I can help improve process, teamwork and exceed goals. I am not satisfied just reaching goals but enjoy the ability to surpass them and set a higher mark for the next reporting period. #opentowork
