1. After my transition from Ali Khan Consultants to MAP Group, business was focusing on the concept of UPI introduced to resolve the problem of High Inventory Levels. Continuous reporting and identification helped business to reduce excess stock by 35% in past 3 months. 2. There were a lot of SKUs (10,000+) to deal with every time when performing order planning or preparing sales plan. Classified Inventory as ABC, XYZ, and FSN to prioritize SKUs for planning and liquidation plans and as a result Ad hoc and urgent plans are possible for priority SKUs helping business to focus primarily on them simultaneously plan for slow moving inventory. 3. There was no safety stock, and its plan was introduced which resulted in predicted higher inventory levels. Proposed a plan to manage Inventory levels by planning safety stock by classification of inventory and their past sales trend which will help business to manage warehousing and cash cycle by avoiding sudden over stocking and investment. 4. The company wanted to take data-based decisions for business projections and vendor relations for 2024 and onwards. Performed Category Analysis of past 2 years of whole business to identify key product categories, key vendors, comparative analysis of sales, purchases, inventory levels, etc. which helped to take further decisions such as managing vendor relations, focusing on low performing categories, revising sales targets, etc. 5. Many repeated tasks were performed to extract data, perform the same analysis, and generate similar reports consuming time and energy and importantly decreasing productivity. Automated various reporting tasks of Supply Chain such that Unproductive Inventory Identification, UPI Movement by Business Units, Sales Tracking by Departments classified among ABC and XYZ, Out of Stock analysis, etc.

1. Got onboarded on a Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Project. Learned the fundamentals of Supply Chain and performed data analysis for the business improvement of client (MAP Group) with a portfolio of 10,000+ SKUs, 6+ legal entities and multiple suppliers. 2. During onboarding process and while understanding the business to propose improvement plans, understood, and implemented Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to demonstrate the flow of material and Customer Journey Map for the flow of business policies and information. 3. While learning and implementing analysis techniques, extensively used Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis, report generation and data visuals. 4. There was less focus on Excess/Dead inventory resulting in high inventory levels. Prepared tools to identify Dead/Excess Stock monthly and their movements on weekly basis with visuals from Power BI to show clear image of reduction in Unproductive Inventory (Excess/Dead Stock). 5. Ordering Planning was an issue as it was done almost around once in 3 months resulting in sudden peaks and long out of stock situations. Prepared tool to breakdown the flow of inventory on weekly basis to plan sufficient ordering and have clear visibility of in transits and stock every week which will ultimately help in optimized order planning cycle.
