Developed, managed and eventually sold off a global networking community for safety, fire and security professionals to the world's largest supplier of industrial safety and fire fighting equipment/services. At one point WorldSafety was used by over 100,000 professionals a week, providing them with health and safety link directories, forums for peer networking, career tools and many other resources (now known as social/peer media) throughout over 100 countries. Created, designed and administrated WorldSafety.com's online community. Participated in 15 outside email groups reaching an aggregate 8000+ additional safety, health and fire professionals. (These were later used as a vehicle to promote and brand Vallen products, services and technologies to key stakeholders in major corporations around the world.) Owned and moderated 14 Safety, Fire, Purchasing and Facility Related email groups. Wrote, edited and delivered monthly email newsletter to WorldSafety.com distribution (33,000/ppl 100 countries) + the above newsgroups for a combined monthly contact of over 40K. Wrote, edited and delivered additional Worldsafety.com newsletter to safety/fire industry manufacturers, reaching over 700 key contacts. Networked information between members of leading related websites and trade organizations throughout the world. Helped coordinate communications, support, aid and supplies for various disaster relief efforts around the globe (as they arose).

Sold worldsafety.com concept to Vallen Corporation (a $600mil/yr safety equipment distributor), joined the Vallen team focused on Internet sales growth, business development, government sales - Drove traffic from 6 visitors per month in '97 to over 1.7 million per year (combined) by 2000. - Combined b2b and b2c Sales were far in excess of all investor/analyst expectations.Stayed on through the Hagemeyer NA consolidation as a member of the global IT team reported to the North American CEO & global CIO. Parted ways in 2000 to cofound MindHARBOR (where we developed the first Hagemeyer North America website). Recognized by CEO & Chairman for finding Hagemeyer as a contact by way of intel; which led to the eventual buyout of Vallen at a premium over two other bidders. Developed and managed the following websites: WorldSafety.com, Fittest.com, Vallen.com, LionVallen.com. Consulted on EnconSafety.com, ProveedoraVallen.mx, Century Sales Canada sites. Consulted / designed eVallen.com technical marketing programs & international consultant database. Created / managed Vallen/eVallen customer email list. Consulted on M&A activities: including SupplyForce, Ariba, Government Sales/LVS, Logistics Services, Vallen knowledge systems and all new "e" venture contacts with executive team. Developed and administrated third party and affiliate eBusiness relationships; i.e. successfullly worked with Medtronic to get AED technology into the mainstream Investigated & shared business intelligence data with key executives at Vallen and then Hagemeyer Global entities. Responsible for all phases of start up and operation for telephone salesm,o/mail order company. Managed all day to day business procedures to include purchasing, receivables, shipping, marketing, newsletters, inside/outside sales, national and distributor account development. Started part time at $8/hr in the warehouse pulling orders upon leaving the Air Force in '92. Took over as warehouse manager in 1 month, within 3 months took over all A/R management for $4 million/yr sales operation.
