Process Modeling Engineer

Frequently incorporated inputs from local and customer teams, original design requirements, manufacturing needs, and analysis results.

One example resulted in an $289MM in lifecycle cost savings.• Performed airworthiness reviews, technical assessments, business case analyses, and risk assessments of Air Force systems to ensure compliance with the JSSG and MIL-HDBK-516.• Performed technical analyses and project management to coordinate efforts with contractors to complete required test and analysis for structural dynamics related certification including flutter, buffet, aeroelasticity, aeroservoelasticity, and vibroacoustics.
Aerospace Engineer, Co-Op
• Executed structural design, modeling and simulation utilizing NX, FEMAP, NASTRAN, and MATLAB to complete modal, stress, and thermal analyses of client structural systems.• Setup and conducted stress and modal testing of aerospace platforms and other mechanical structures while performing multiple simultaneous duties on site as a test engineer. Completed follow-on analysis and report creation based upon acquired test data.• Adapted to constantly changing test environments through the fabrication and installation of test fixtures to rapidly address project specific issues.
Draftsman & Surveying Assistant
• Utilized AutoCAD, survey data, and GIS resources to complete engineering design plans and to convert project plans from hardcopy drawings and as-built project information to digital format. • Conducted field surveys which required use of digital and analog equipment to record topography, object locations, and elevations and convert this data to CAD drawings.
