The Youth Day of Service (YDoS) is an annual, month-long Pan-African, youth-led campaign coinciding with the UN International Youth Day in August. Launched in 2020, YDoS mobilizes African youth to volunteer and drive sustainable development across the continent. With 17,780 volunteers in 28 countries, YDoS has completed 703 SDG-aligned projects, impacting over six million people. This year, YDoS aims to connect 12,000 youths, empowering young change-makers to create local impact.

Serving on the Reader Committee of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. Assessed 40 applications from young Africans. The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is the flagship program of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). President Obama launched YALI to support young Africans as they spur growth and prosperity, strengthen democratic governance, and enhance peace and security across Africa.

• Provided policy advice, project management, and research support to UNDP/IOM Mainstreaming Migration in National Development Planning initiative for four countries (Bangladesh, Moldova, Tunisia, Jamaica) and Global Migration Group (GMG) issues.• Interviewed fifteen UNDP staff and external partners to produce a UNDP global ‘stock-taking report of the UNDP’s involvement in human mobility’; established key findings, good practices and policy recommendations, as well as an internal database of practitioners.• Co-organised UNDP side event at the 2013 UN High-Level Dialogue on Migration and Development.

• Lead author of the 2013 UN World Youth Report (WYR) on youth and migration.• Established, prepared content and managed the UN WYR 2013 online portal – through. the use of community of practice plus social media platforms - and offline consultations.• Organised and moderated a Google+ Conference on Youth Migration and Development with UN and NGO experts worldwide.

• Provided policy advice to UNICEF field office representatives and Government counterparts (i.e. Bangladesh, Jamaica, Moldova, and Tunisia) on Mainstreaming Migration into National Development Strategies.• Contributed inputs for key initiatives including: UNICEF's Global Social Protection strategy and UNICEF’s background paper for the 2012 Day of General Discussion of CRC Committee which focused on children on the move. • Responsible for aspects of research, policy advocacy, child and youth participation and inter-agency on issues relating to migration, youth employment, child protection, social protection, gender and human rights, equity and sustainable development.• Participated in strategic programme planning, policy research, management, grant proposal development, monitored funds and ensured timely donor funds reporting.
