About Michael Bobino
When you were growing up, did you ever watch the window at the back of the theater and wonder what made the movie tick? I still remember the first movie I watched, or really sat in on while watching the port window with it's mesmerizing glow. It was a Power Rangers movie, the one with Ivan Ooze. While I never saw many movies at that time, the magic stayed.I found my entry into the industry at the local theater, I started as an Usher and within months was already being trained to thread and start movies. During that time I learned the mechanics and electronics of film handling which led me to an interest in electronics. As the transformation from film to digital was occurring I found myself removed from the industry. I spent this time gaining management skills and exploring other industries. I ultimately found myself back in the entertainment industry after securing a position to service digital projectors. During my tenure as a field technician I learned how to service and install the equipment that led to my exit just a couple years earlier, it was during this position that I learned how to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively. After 14+ years in the industry I still find I have a passion for that final stage of movie magic.Specialties: Barco, NEC, Christie Projector Repair/Installation. Audio System Repair/Installation. Automation Installation.Interests: Making, breaking, fixing.**Not necessarily in that order.
