I work as an outreach manager and clinical information specialist in EMMES. I worked in a project funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Health, known as PEARL. Currently, I work with the AIDS Malignancy Consortium, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and the Office of HIV and AIDS Malignancy. Also, I work for the National Cancer Institute Coordinating Center for Clinical Trials (CCCT). As an information specialist I support the scientific agenda of the Clinical Imaging Steering Committee and the GISC-ASSIGN subcommittees.

Health Behavior Branch

The HBB designs and conducts behavioral and observational research to identify determinants of health behavior and to test the efficacy and effectiveness of educational, behavioral, and environmental strategies for improving or protecting maternal, child, and adolescent health. The research is conducted within an adolescent development framework and focuses on the influences of individual characteristics, parents, and peers on adolescent health behavior. Position: Intramural Post Doctoral Fellow -Responsibilities included the development of study designs, implementation and monitoring, analysis of complex datasets, collaborated on prevention of aggression intervention, and preparation of reports for submission to peer-reviewed journals. -Submit manuscripts as first author to scientific-peer review journals. Subsequently, co-authored manuscripts with mentors and investigators from other institutions.-Managed a multi-site project, which required study design, training staff, and monitoring data collection, and data entry. -Wrote a manual of procedures for evidence-based intervention and oversaw advertisement to recruit participants. -Ascertained the psychometric properties, i.e., construct and predictive validity, and internal reliability, of the several aggression scales on middle-school children. -Crafted a proposal for a family nutrition intervention for undeserved children at risk of overweight.
