Hello, I'm Marie-Anne Boter Plana, currently residing in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain. Over the past three years, I had the incredible opportunity to live and study in Zurich, Switzerland at ETH.During my time at ETH, I embarked on a journey to explore my passion for the sciences. I devoted two years to studying physics, followed by a year in mechanical engineering, even though I didn't complete these programs, the experiences served as invaluable learning curves, and they've solidified my determination to pursue my true calling.In 2024, I'm excited to return to the academic world to study physics right here in Barcelona. The allure of physics and its intriguing subfields like astrophysics and astrobiology has always fascinated me. My journey began during high school when I delved into the fascinating realm of exoplanets for my Matura work. I also had the privilege of honing my skills and knowledge at the Agrupación Astronómica de Sabadell, where I gained valuable insights into astrobiology and the use of the Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.I've had the privilege of working in various customer-facing roles, which has honed my soft skills in teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and creativity. My experience as a Barista at Starbucks in Zurich and as an Assistant Waiter at Buenas Migas in Barcelona instilled in me a strong commitment to delivering top-notch customer service.My hard skills encompass customer service, bar service, and food service, as well as analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. I've also developed a solid foundation in astrobiology and telescope operation.On the language front, I'm a native speaker of Spanish, Catalan, and German, with advanced proficiency in English and basic knowledge of French.I'm an enthusiastic learner and a dedicated worker who thrives on challenges. I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to expand my horizons and put my skills to the test.
