CurrentThe product is an open-source Apache Hadoop based ecosystem, a private cloud solution.- Driving cadence of owned several hundred million dollar revenue SaaS releases (owning the whole lifecycle of them). - Executing day-to-day release activities in a data driven manner, while collaborating closely with Engineering/Product Managers to identify and mitigate risks, proactively remove obstacles and handling issues and escalations.-Collaborations: Development, Release Engineering, Web, Docs, Legal, Product Security and other cross-functional teams to plan, execute and deliver various programs, while ensuring objectives and key results are well defined and kept.- Ensuring that there is a broad agreement and alignment to achieve time-based delivery.Post announcements and ensure that the release day checklist is complete. Coordinate releasedeliverables with geographically and time zone distributed teams. - Driving retrospectives. Ensuring that there is tracking for action items and retrospective is reviewed by Engineering Management and published. Actively following-up that the action items are scheduled and resolved as per the pre-agreed date. - Presenting periodic status reporting to VPs/SVPs on in-flight releases.- Doing process development and metrics tracking. Identifying process gaps in release processes and making sure of the closure of these gaps. Keeping up a streamlining to enable processes improvement as needed, achieving greater effectiveness and efficiency over time.- Working towards a goal where a release is an automatic artifact of the development process and that cross-team coordination is reduced (e.g. writing JIRA automations and working with release engineering on automated tools).
