CurrentI had the idea for Po Campo when I couldn't find a bag versatile enough to take on my bike commutes and then carry with me throughout the day. I often felt like I had to make a nonsensical choice, either the joy of biking to work or the pleasure of having a bag on my shoulder that I really loved.I also wanted to solve this problem for others. I noticed how more and more people were using their bikes for transportation all the time, riding in their everyday clothes, and guessed they were similarly looking for crossover product. The bike industry at the time was still focused on biking as a sport or like a tough bike messenger thing. I wanted to create a brand that helped make biking a better and more seamless part of people's lives so that they could experience its freedom and joy every day.Since launching in 2009, and then relaunching in 2020, we've accomplished the following:- Millions in revenue and thousands of customers- Three product collections to equip the whole family- Sold worldwide, and available in respected retailers like REI- Developed our proprietary Visi-Hemp® fabric, the world's first reflective hemp fabric- Built a diverse team of people who share my commitment to helping people get out of their cars and into the bike lane with superior product- Raised a round of capital- Donated over $35,000 to charities that improve bike infrastructure and/or make biking more accessible
