Explorer, AdventurerMichael Bowling 2014 - 2015PeruThroughout 2014 & 2015, I took the time to travel extensively throughout the country of Peru. My focus was on visiting ancient historical sites located across Peru. I immersed myself in a culture that was very unique and difference fromthe one I grew up in. This experience gave me the opportunity to learn the basics of a new language, while troubleshooting logistical problems on the fly, all on a tight travel budget.I traveled around the entire country of Peru from the northern Amazon rain forest, to the southern Andes mountains, via plane, train, and bus. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting famous historical sites such as Machu Picchu, Wayna Picchu, the Amaru Doorway and many others sites along the Inca Trail.The most fascinating opportunity I had while exploring Peru was the chance to work with local and indigenous healers to experience their culture and traditions surrounding their natural healing methods. Since my travels I have studied these natural healing methods in depth, and have made every effort to integrate them into every area of my business and personal life. -
