Lead Inspector
I started as an inspector/grader then was promoted to Lead Inspector after 3 years and working 7 days a week. I am certified in fork lift operation, and was provided with a 3 day course in 'The Principles of Management Certification' in 2015/2016. BGF is a textile mill. There are 11 units that creates fiberglass, & Kevlar raw goods. My department inspects the raw material in the final step of production 500 to 1000 yds per roll. I assist in resolving issue with damaged goods, machine malfunction, user error, and loss of profit. I was responsible for all of my Lead Supervisors Operations for many years on the weekends. I would be in charge of 19 peers on 2nd shift. I would go to work early to talk to1st shift supervisor to be up to date on priorities, or issues. Then I would take that data and assign my peers to a unit/inspection line. I would do shift-end reports, nightly production data auditing, time-clock audits. My most constant roll was to assist any person who had a problem. I was many roles, a grader, a frame loader, a lead inspector, a trainer, a friend, and a person who would walk 7 miles around the dept to assist wherever I was needed to ensure max production with the least total loss.
