Chief Technology Officer
CurrentAcquired an IT services company with over 50 years of history. Modernized the organization into a Serverless-First development and managed services provider. Strategically led the development of staff expertise in Serverless Operations (Disaster Recovery & Security Operations), Serverless Migrations and Artificial Intelligence Systems Integrations. Project portfolio currently drives over $75 million in revenue for GSC clients. Notable clients include JD Power and the National Organization for Women (NOW).• To overcome slow and unreliable performance from aging SaaS IT infrastructure, migrated the ecosystem to AWS-based serverless technologies to leverage AWS's scalability. As a result, client satisfaction improved with 100% uptime while achieving a 70% reduction in hosting costs and a 50% reduction in operations staff hours.• Due to pending loss of IT services contracts to offshore developers with lower rates, led a strategic program to improve IT services by implementing serverless architectures, utilizing no-code tools, and incorporating AI coding support. Innovations reduced overall software development time by 40% and stabilized ability to maintain US rates while offering customers competitive overall project costs.• To combat declining sales due to an outdated system, JD Power engaged GSC to implement a data lake and an AI machine learning (ML) system supporting 1 million real-time requests daily. This modernization reversed a three-year sales downturn on a $50m product line, boosting revenue by 20% in the first year and an additional 15% from spin-off services in following years. • Recognizing opportunities in AWS serverless technologies, expanded managed services were developed to include these implementations. Staff were trained in new architectures, design patterns, security threats, cost management, and tooling. This enabled the establishment of a successful AWS serverless MSP, capable of managing a large portfolio of systems with a small team.
