I’m heading up our FX Business Technology organization (previously called e-Trading FX), where we are responsible for building and maintaining our entire technology stack for electronic foreign exchange trading and for providing data analytics and insights to FX Sales and Trading.The organization consists of Developers, Data Scientists, Quants, Business Analysts, System Engineers, Infrastructure Specialists and Operations, and the technology stack we operate combines inhouse build Java, C++ and Python applications with vendor solutions and cover areas such as Liquidity Aggregation, Algo Risk Management, e-Commerce, Distribution, Order Management, Algorithmic Execution, Automated FX Handling (AutoFX), Open Banking API’s, TCA Reports and Analytics.

As FX Business Tech Lead in Nordea Markets, I’m responsible for our FX tech vision, strategy and roadmap. I’m also responsible for our e-Trading FX organisation that consists of Developers, Data Scientists, Quants, Business Analysts, System Engineers, Infrastructure Specialists and Operations.

Leading a cross-asset team of e-Trading business analysts across FX and Fixed Income with the responsible for implementation and ongoing configuration of business logic in all 3rd party electronic FX and Fixed Income Trading Systems used in Nordea Markets. The system landscape covers, among others, Algorithmic Trading, Core Price Production, Execution and Order Management, Liquidity Aggregation and e-Commerce across FX and Fixed Income. In the team we are also responsible for the relationship and day-to-day communication with our external vendors.

Leading a team of e-FX business analysts with the responsible for implementation and ongoing configuration of business logic in all 3rd party electronic FX Trading Systems used in Nordea Markets. The system landscape covers, among others, Algorithmic Trading, Core Price Production, Execution and Order Management, Liquidity Aggregation and e-Commerce. In the team we are also responsible for the relationship and day-to-day communication with our external vendors.At the same time I have also been appointed as value stream driver for a cross-functional value stream called Execution Channels. In Execution Channels we have the end-to-end responsibility for all customer facing FX systems and workflows – from idea to production - including in-house developed applications, vendor systems and connectivity to customer trading platforms such as Bloomberg, FXall, 360T, FlexTrade and many more. As value stream driver I am responsible for setting the strategic direction, managing stakeholder expectations from Sales and Trading and driving the prioritisation and implementation of new functionality.

Responsible for driving a project where we migrated streaming FX Spot from our old legacy system in Copenhagen to a new and modern infrastructure in co-location facilities in LD5. Responsible for implementing a new Order Management System for managing the full order life-cycle of algo orders, and a key participant in the implementation of a new Algorithmic Execution Engine with main focus on the integration to our Spot Market Adaptors.Implementation of continuous improvements to our FX Spot Liquidity Aggregator.Product Owner for e-FX area with responsibility for prioritisation and stakeholder management.

Optimization and implementation of improvements to our FX algorithmic setup including both spot aggregation and auto hedging.Working on the continuously development of OneTrader from a business perspective (scoping and prioritizing of new business features).Responsible for continuous development of the FX flow analysis framework (both client and interbank flow) including decay charts, hit ratio monitoring, profitability analysis.

Business responsible for implementation of access to pre-trade data on Danske Bank’s new FX Single Dealer Platform OneTraderScoped the business requirements for making Danske Research, financial news and indicative prices for charting and watchlists an integrated part of the platform.Worked closely together with IT developers, solution architects and UX designers in an agile project.

Responsible for maintenance and continuous development of the E-trade flow analysis framework with primary focus on hit ratio monitoring and P/L calculations.Involved in optimizing our FX pricing models for Spot, Forward and Swap from the core market price feeds down to the individual client prices on the various trading platforms such as Danske Trader (Single Dealer Platform), FXall, Bloomberg, 360T and Currenex.Optimized our use of the RET system through Java API integrations which made it possible to adjust and fine tune the setup and pricing models on a much more frequent basis.

Responsible for building a statistic flow analysis framework for FX E-trade based on data from RET (Reuters Electronic Trading) and Danske Banks internal FX backoffice system Forex.

Developed small VBA applications to support the daily work in the Research and Quant departments.
