I serve as the speaker chair, finding relative content for our user base whether it be DBA, Dev, BI or security focused as well as speaking for the group several times. I am also in charge of running meetings and working closely with our sponsors.

I was the Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and SQL Server Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all SQL Servers within Department of Defense (DoD). I was the database management lead and project manager, either overseeing or actually performing the work on over 300 different IT projects. These would range anywhere to new servers, network and database engineering builds to tech refresh and migrations of existing hardware/software. I was also one of the engineers of over 600 servers for the Department of Defense consolidated email project that transitioned all military and defense branches to the new .mil email standard. This included designing the replication, disaster recovery and test environments for various SQL Servers, Exchange Servers, Blackberry servers, network capacity planning and SAN architecture. I also created a new SQL Server Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for SQL Server 2008/2008R2/2012 due to the inability of the IASE group to create one in a timely manner.
