Marc B. Samuels is CEO of ADVI Health, the strategic consulting partner to the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem solving complicated problems in healthcare with data-informed commercialization, market access, and policy expertise. In addition to performing work in the US, ADVI has partnered to complete projects in Australia, Brazil. Columbia, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. For the past three decades, Marc has embraced the best of two worlds. By working across government and the life sciences, Marc gained significant experience as policymaker, operator, strategist, and problem solver, while building deep capabilities in specific areas such as commercialization and brand strategy, employee engagement and culture, and operating model design, as well as therapeutic areas such as cancer, cell and gene therapy, rare disease, and vaccine-mitigated illness. A collaborative and engaging leader, he not only works closely with clients but with fellow consultants as well, acting as coach, mentor, and sounding board for those seeking an informed perspective on the most pressing access and policy challenges. Marc started his career serving both President George HW Bush and George W Bush in federal and state roles respectively, in the White House, Council on Competitiveness, Office of the Governor and Texas Health and Human Services Commission, which laid the foundation for his passion for problem solving and desire to be a part of meaningful change in America’s healthcare system. Marc was a partner at HillCo Partners, Texas’ largest and highest consistently rated advocacy firm, where he was managing partner and founder of HillCo HEALTH. Marc also served as co-founder and principal of The Health Policy Group before founding ADVI and joining HillCo. Marc holds a BA University of Michigan, an MPH from the Yale School of Public Health, and a JD from the University of Texas at Austin. In keeping with his commitment to public service, Marc is involved with several charitable causes and non-profit organizations. He currently serves on the boards of the NCCN Foundation and UCSF Rosenman Institute and is a board member of the Duke Margolis Institute for Health Policy. When he’s not at 30,000 feet, you can find him sitting at the start/finish line at F1, perfecting his pickleball technique, experimenting in the kitchen, investing in art, fashion, and design projects, or spending time with family.
