This company operates one of the best wine merchants in Lisbon boasting a range of over 2000 wines and spirits. As a Private Client Salesman, our team generated in excess of €400.000, growing 15% on the previous year, through an high spending existing customer base and new business development specially by targeting the Brazilian market . We import and represent some major international brands – Two Hands, Villa Maria, Louis Latour – and I was closely involved in their sales and brand management.

Specialist importer for Italian wines to Portugal with a portfolio of over 20 producers including, Marchesi di Frescobaldi, Ornellaia, Vietti and Berlucchi. During this time I achieved listings of our wines in most of Lisbon’s fine dining restaurants such as Michelin starred Tavares and Feitoria.

Working close with our nationwide distributor to help get listings of our wines at a variety of restaurants and independent shops at the same time as building a database of private clients for direct sales from the winery were my tasks on this job. What I consider to be the most positive thing on this job was helping to create over 400 points of sale, and just over 200 private clients which in total would buy over 100.000 bottles a year.

In the two years I was at Oddbins I have learned the basics of international wines and spirits and tasting techniques. In my first full year co-running the shop we grew 10% on the previous year. While at Oddbins I have completed the Trainee Managers Program.

Working for clients such as ViniPortugal (Wines of Portugal), I was involved in a number of tastings provided for the general public. Organized and managed tastings for high profile clients at Lisbon's Airport VIP Room for ANDOVI, CVR Alentejo, CVR Setubal and IVDP.On the marketing side I helped to launch a group of producers including Quinta da Cortezia and Vinhos D.Joana.

With over 100 points of sale my job was to maximise all sales opportunities by visiting all shops regularly and negotiating constant deals and promotions for all the wines in our portfolio. In our record year we’ve turned over €350.000 which represented a 20% growth on the average year.
