I worked with the media department to create content for the law firm's website. Regular duties included researching current consumer issues and creating web content that addresses the issues. I wrote on a wide variety of topics including: social security disability insurance, defective products, and dangerous drugs. Web content generally includes both articles that advises people of their legal rights and blog posts that address the social concerns. I also worked with the media department to plan the launch of a new category of content which will soon be available on the website.

Research assistant to the Director of Legal Research and Writing, Anne Burr. As a research assistant, I researched legal education in China and how it influences Chinese legal professionals as well as the role of mediation and arbitration in China today. The research highlighted the differences between the American style legal education and the Chinese style of legal education.

As the student assistant for the Dean of Students Office, I helped the Dean of Students fulfill their duty to help students in the law school. Duties included organizing and stocking the Lending Library with new supplements for the students to use. Additionally, I worked with the Dean of Students to publicize events of interest to the students and direct students to the appropriate department to obtain necessary resources.

At the Free Legal Aid Clinic, I help people over the age of 60 who live in Metro-Detroit. I represent clients facing a variety of issues ranging from estate issues to property issues to consumer issues. I research these issues as well as draft legal documents.

A research assistant for Professor Jocelyn Benson. The research focused on the Voting Rights Act. In particular, I surveyed court decisions that discussed Section 2 of the act after the Supreme Court’s decision in Shaw v. Reno.

As a summer intern I completed numerous tasks including: • Drafting responses to international client’s inquiries regarding all intellectual property matters including expected timelines and deadline extension. • Assisting partner George Chan with a Managing Intellectual Property interview on the recent China National Intellectual Property Strategy.• Conducting legal research focusing on current IP environment in China compared to the U.S.• Verifying Chinese patent office actions.

I worked in the front end of one of Spartan's busiest retail stores. Helped to manage the front end, administered breaks for the other associates, ran the service counter. Was trained as an assistant customer service manager, cash office specialist, service counter, cashiering, and self check out registers.
