I have been using this position to my best advantage. I have taken knowledge here very seriously. Using every ingredient/brand I have behind the bar, discovering how they work together and learning how I can incorporate them to create a unique experience has been key to mastering the “Art of Bartending.” It has been a fun job and one that I feel I will aways learn more about.

I am responsible for managing and operating a wine tasting room in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. The Aridus Wine Company Tasting Room is a beatiful tasting room in which we display our wines for tasting and purchase. We also have a beautiful event space for guests to utilize for their own private events. A family-owned and operated winery, Aridus Wine Company prides themselves on creating beautiful, single-varietal wines made in the high-desert of Arizona. I realized working here how much I enjoy working with a local product, conveying that to our guests, and optimizing their experience in several ways(Wine Club, Email Sign-ups, and in-person relationships.) **I am also responsible for sales to restaurants and retailers in the valley.**

While at FnB, we were trained to provide top-notch service, down to the type of napkin each guest were to receive and the way I presented my hand when offering a seat. Due to the caliber of restaurant, I continually briefed myself on the world-class cuisine at FnB, and gained an encyclopedic knowledge of wine(global and Arizonan.) I left in March to run a tasting room after gaining an extensive knowledge of Arizona and Global wine.

A 16-acre farm in the middle of Gilbert, Arizona, the Farm at Agritopia has all the developments of a full-size farm. Ten acres of orchards, three acres of vegetables, chickens, turkeys, sheep and more. I learned quite a bit while working here, but the most important skill was learning to juggle the many tasks needing to be completed on a daily basis. On any given day I would feed the animals, corral chickens for processing, harvest vegetables, and setup and sell at a farmer’s market. It was a busy time and an experience I’m thankful for having gone through.

MapMyFitness is a web/mobile fitness company that got bought by Under Armour in 2013. While there, I designed the app experience for the iPhone and Android Apps. Along with my manager and a team of 12 engineers, we worked to create an app that people would use daily to record their runs, walks, and cycling activities. Today, the suite of MapMyFitness apps are used daily by over 20 million people.

During my stay with UserVoice, I was tasked with design of the analog facing side of their business. Swag box, T-shirt, banner, signage, business cards. It had a huge impact on my appreciation for designing tangible goods as well as how it works in tandem with a beautiful web application.

Gangplank is an incubator that provides an open space for entrepreneurs of all fields to come and get work done for free. I was in charge of designing all the collateral that goes along with the events. Posters, Newsletter, Websites, Logos, Cards, etc.

Over the last couple years I have been freelancing and running my own projects. Whether I am creating a new interface or ideating on a new business idea, I treat them all as my life’s best work. It has been a great opportunity for growth and I have been progressing towards User Interface work.

While at redPear, I was part of an intern team that was responsible for the operation of a content management system. Primary responsibilities included: Customer Service, Sales/Marketing, and Web Design.
