About Michael Byrd

Hello, my name is Michael Byrd, and rather than introduce myself with several terse bullet points highlighting my skills and experience, I thought I would instead share what sorts of things fascinate me and make me tick. I enjoy learning new things and combining complementary skills to solve problems in new ways. I'm fascinated by language and philosophy and enjoy studying both during my off hours. I like to observe people and discover how they think, learn, and what motivates them in life. I commit myself to excellence and honesty in all my endeavors and try to surround myself with others who do likewise. Professionally you’ll find I’m not only competent at the keyboard, but I also know how to explain technical concepts in everyday language to clients and other stakeholders. I’ve worked as a Network Engineer, Software Engineer, Cybersecurity Instructor, and Security Researcher. Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me. Please feel free to connect if you haven't done so already.
