• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access• Undertaking data network fault investigations using information from multiple sources• Administering systems and servers related to the network for the purpose of ensuring availability of services to authorized users. Aligning network services.• Conducting research on network/server products, services, standards, and best practices for the purpose of remaining current. • Developing and maintaining network/server “test environment”.• Supporting and administering firewall environments in line with IT security policy• Reporting network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information• Upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases• Developing, implementing, and maintaining the processes and documentation for network/server managements for the purpose of effective processes.• Managing network/server services and documentation (e.g. active directory, back-ups, configuration, disaster recovery, network traffic monitoring/shaping, performance statistics, quality control, remote access, security, service, and technical training) for the purpose of having effective network/server• Configuring routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls• Providing remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation• Providing remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon installation
