Hello! I spent two years of my post grad experience working in collaboration with Teach for America as a High School science teacher on the Big Island of Hawai'i. In Hawai'i, the history of military occupation (and ongoing occupation) has resulted in a tourist industry that creates gaps in education that affects the entire population of Hawai'i and limits the opportunities available to local communities. This educational inequity persists in various forms throughout the entire United States. To combat this inequity, I am working as a Recruiter for Teach for America at my alma matter (go BRUINS!) to find diverse, motivated, and passionate individuals to become leaders, change-makers, and champions for students and their communities all over the United States.In my free time, I love to climb, ski, and mountaineer on SoCal's big three and in the Sierra Nevada. I also dabble in DJing.
