Due to an oversight during an enormous system upgrade in the auto servicing area, there was going to be a change from a current configuration to a default configuration for how the letter gets triggered, resulting in what would have been a $2+ million reduction in committed savings for 2020. After numerous iterations of communicating to resolve misunderstandings and raise support, overcoming serious resource issues and system limitations, and even escalating as an urgent risk when appropriate, this project is now finally ready to deploy at the beginning of 2020 with the unified support of all stakeholders.

Analyzed data for several business units using SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) to provide regular reporting daily/weekly/monthly for measures of quantity, efficiency, and key metrics.Automated repetitive tasks and portions of reports using SAS, Excel, and VBA resulting in reduced delivery time, reduced probability of errors, control checks, simplified procedural documentation, and user-friendly data visualization.Completed several small to mid-sized projects requiring quick learning of data sources and relationship to the business process, requirements gathering, creating SAS/SQL queries in EG, and persistent communication.Trusted with assignments that had historically been prone to having issues, knowing that I would simplify through process improvement.Led regular best practices training for the team I was on. Also mentored a struggling colleague.An example of how I brought understanding and simplicity to a complicated and chaotic situation is what I'll refer to as the ABC Report. This was a project to build a new report using data from a new supplier for the purpose of providing a specific type of support for the Ally sales teams that maintained relationships with dealerships, which are key customers, throughout the US. First, I worked with the supplier to learn what each metric meant, how it related to the business process, and how the metrics related to each other. Second, I collaborated with the sales team for how they used the data, which resulted in tightening up some important criteria that removed a lot of 'noise'. It also resulted in a meaningful layout for the report itself that was simple, user-friendly, and easy to hold the different sales regions accountable which reduced material losses for Ally's bottom line. Third, I automated the reporting process to the fullest extent possible using Excel, writing programs in VBA and SAS, and automatically sending out the report in the ideal format from EG (Enterprise Guide) through MS Outlook.

Resulted in deliverable showing recent trends in where net revenue and deals being made fell into different ranges of discounts. Developed forecast for total discount rates and net revenue deployment for 2015.Presented results formally to panel of mangers explaining trends, drivers of those trends, and giving recommendations for what quota (net revenue) to deploy as well as how to improve overall discounting for channel.Assessed data with excel using pivot tables, forecasting functions, and multiple if-then functions.
